AKHIL PATEL is the Director of Ascendant Strategy, an advisory business that works with investors to make better investment decisions on the basis of unique research on economic, real estate and stock market cycles.  Akhil came to the study of cycles after reading Progress and Poverty in 2006 and then witnessing the violent economic spams the current system gives rise to soon after. Akhil is also passionate about the environment and preserving the natural world for future generations by helping advance public understanding of the economic rent.

Akhil has a professional background in policy, audit and banking and holds Master’s degrees in Finance and Public Policy as well as an undergraduate degree in the Classics from Oxford.
