It’s my great pleasure to announce the launch of the new Progress.org site today, Earth Day 2015. Over the last few months, we have been working hard to upgrade the existing Progress.org website in order to make it responsive, mobile-friendly and modern. We believe that the new Progress.org website can become the go-to news site for a younger generation of people deeply concerned about economic justice and the preservation of nature, and hope that people interested in activism and general news will find the newProgress.org website deeply enriching.

Progress.org was founded in 1997 by Hanno T. Beck and the Banneker Center for Economic Justice. As such, it has a long and storied history standing for social and economic justice. In 2004, Jeffery J. Smith took over as Executive Director and Chief Editor. In January 2015, I took over as Executive Director, with Jeffery continuing as Chief Editor.

We look forward to continuing to develop and enhance the new Progress.org website on an ongoing basis. We’ll be transferring articles from the old site to this current site in the time to come.

I hope you enjoy the new site, share content freely via social media, and participate in debates.

Sincerely,

Martin Adams
