A 2013 excerpt of Breaking News, Nov 30.
Delegates at the annual conference of the Labour Party of Ireland have voted to replace the property tax with a site value tax.
They have also adopted motions which would mean households depending on social welfare would not be expected to pay.
Delegates also voted in favour of recognising Travellers as an ethnic minority, and to allow adopted people to trace the identity of their birth parents.
Ed. Notes: Another political party in the British Isles grasps the power in putting land value into the tax base … if not into the people’s pockets.
