Concerning the Are We Seeing Fascism? article:
Whocan question now whether Bush et.al, are reflective of the Nazi government of WW11. The attack upon Iraq was G.W.'s equal to Hitler's Blitzkrieg against a weak Poland. My mantra has consisted of; "When Fascism appears it will be ushered in by a Black Man. I believe that Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell is a Black Man. The laugh is on racist Facist America who pointed the finger at Adolph Hitler and the German People. Individuals such as Richard Perle and Wolfolwitz. Who will be left to prosecute these war crimminals? P.S. America has no chance of ever winning in Iraq.

What a joke of an article. I like the "if America does it, so will everyone else" aspect. It should be clear by now that France, Germany and Russia were all following nationalistic interests in their opposition to the war on Iraq. It is also becoming clear that they have undercut the UN sanctions dealing with Iraq. Big surprise! I like the bit about North Korea deciding to get the nuke program going, but missed the timeline that sets the date pre-Bush. As for Iran, there's a model of international relations. This hysterical rant with its subsequent goose-steppers should be a clear indication of why you lefties are winning many debates these days.

This slide into a neo-fashist world-view doesn't just stand on one leg. The PNAC manifesto does indeed appear to be the philosophical basis of current US foreign policy, but its corollary internal policy is reflected in the Patriot I act and the proposed Patriot II act. These will have the effect of chilling internal dissent, while the constant yellow, orange, and other colorful but otherwise nebulous danger alerts maintains the level of hysteria and distrust. I for one cannot but feel that there is a distinct resemblance between the current "atmosphere" in the US and that of Germany just prior to the end of the Weimar Republic. God help us all!

By the definition given, the U.S. already is embracing Fascism. I don't see truly harsh repression - yet- but there's lots of talk of it, and the accelerating pace of media concentration may make it unnecessary. The other conditions are already met. I'm not the only one who sees PNAC as Mein Kampf for the new century; how many will listen this time?

Concerning the Are We Seeing Fascism? article:
The US under the Bush Admin is meeting all the criteria but one needs a bit more expansion. Terrifs and subsidies are not nationalistic policies. The first hurts the nations consumers more then it helps the nation, and the second hurts the tax payers more then it helps the nation. Both of these are the triumph of private interest over the interests of the people. They are unmistakeable signals that the government is suffering from "privitisation" and essentially the same for the countries freeedom. It to is "privatised". This is the core feature of Facism. And so the criteria are not only met, but under more rigourous understanding of the term and examination of the policies, the term facist fits the Bush regime closer then any other president.
