This web site lists links that are freedom-oriented. Freedom is neither left-wing nor right-wing. Freedom is "beyond left and right".By "freedom", we mean individual liberty, including: 1) personal liberty (freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of association, freedom of lifestyle, etc.); 2) economic liberty (the right to own the fruits of one's own labor; ending corporate welfare; stopping polluters; ending false advertising and business fraud; freedom of economic association); and 3) political liberty (constitutional democracy; the Bill of Rights).

Progressive Libertarian Links
Progressive libertarians tend to give priority to alleviating poverty, by cutting corporate welfare and removing other government-created problems that cause poverty - rather than first cutting the social safety net. With such government-created problems removed, there will then be more job creation, higher wages, and lower prices.Fewer people would then need welfare programs. But progressive libertarians tend to favor maintaining a government-sponsored social safety net if necessary, until such time as the non-government sector is able to handle the safety net.
Also, some progressive libertarians (called classical libertarians, geolibertarians, or cooperative individualists), in the tradition of such libertarians as Jefferson, Locke, Mill, Paine, Nock, and Chodorov, advocate making a distinction between two kinds of property: 1) products of labor and human effort (eg cars, buildings, machines), which they consider rightful private property; and 2) land and natural resources, which no person produced, and for which there should be fair access, by means of practical policies.

Mainstream libertarians agree with progressive libertarians on many issues. However, the main differences are: 1) mainstream libertarians have some differences with progressive libertarians, regarding which government programs should be cut first, and how much to cut them; and 2) mainstream libertarians usually do not make a distinction between property produced by human labor or effort (eg cars, buildings, machines), on the one hand, and property in land and natural resources, on the other.
