Palaver from Persimmon Crossing

An Open Letter to the Sniper
Dear Sniper, Many of us are cowards, even though we possess skills with a variety of weapons and have studied escape and evasion techniques. The difference between you and most of the rest of us is that we are not proud of our shortcomings and try to disguise them, whereas you seem bent on repeatedly demonstrating yours.
You don't fit anyones idea of a hero, if that is what you are thinking. If you see yourself as a terrorist and intend to take public credit for your actions you can be sure that someone dear to you will be mortified by what you have done. You can only become a martyr if you are caught or killed. Not a very good option.
Since we have some things in common, I think we should meet. Perhaps we can discuss the best way to cure the ills of the world. Talk strategy. How are you going to get out of this revolving door you have put yourself in. Check each other out you know?
Sincerely,
Warren Faulk
PS I just happen to have a neat little rifle with scope that shoots a .223 62 grain hollowpoint bullet with astounding accuracy and effect. I just ordered some fresh ammunition for it today. These are handloads, modeled on the Remingtons you are no doubt familiar with, only better if you can believe that. You probably know that this is the most under rated ammunition around ... until now. You are rapidly making it famous. It is tough for police to study ballistically because it shatters on impact and all of the force is contained within the target being. We could open our communications at 200 yards distance ( I can't see much further than that anymore, even with a scope and I know you like to see the effects of your work.)
Well, what do you say? Want to meet a holdover from another era and compare notes? Someone who understands and appreciates your skills? Just email me and I'll set it up.
In case you still don't get my drift, I'm calling you out dude. A la Clint Eastwood. It's your move punk.
