I am for a modified form of the Selective Service "Draft" to require pretty near every citizen to perform some kind of national service. I'll reserve further comment on this until another time. I have bigger fish to fry.

Just today it came to me that we could draft our legislators. In one fell swoop we could eliminate campaigns and campaign finance problems, failed and fraudulent elections. Everyone would have an equal opportunity and responsibility to serve ... once.

Might as well go ahead and shape the whole system up while I'm at it.

This is "ink", not concrete. An outline, not a complete plan. Nobody would have thought anything about this if the country had been started this way. From the looks of the mish mash we are in, it should have been.
