Sites for Researchers

"Resources for Economists on the Internet" is quite a nice site, put together with attention to detail by Bill Goffe. Lots of links and advice. I hope he keeps this up to date. BigB

The Social Science Information Gateway is a good "jump-station" to other places. Headquartered in the United Kingdom, the gateway is worldwide in scope. Search capabilities, too. BigB

Here's another must-see for serious researchers. The Economics Research Network guides you to lots of journal abstracts and other goodies. BigB

Sooner or later, you will become familiar with the Brookings Institution. So many important thinkers have been fellows there, so many important papers have been written there, that the Brookings is almost certain to be a useful resource to you no matter what your specialty. The web site includes information on their library, archives, and links to other sites. BigB

STATS-USA is exactly what it sounds like. You want statistics on the United States? This site, published by the U.S. Department of Commerce, gives you the numbers. BigB
