Bill Batt of Albany, NY (hwbatt@yahoo.com) has emailed GroundSwell that he ordered and read John C. Weaver's book, The Great Land Rush, which just came out in paperback. See more here
Bill Batt reports that the book is "fantastic, with several references to Henry George throughout the book, and then, toward the end, a full four pages of discussion. This book is extremely well footnoted, a real tour deforce! The publisher, McGill Queens University Press, apparently doesn't have a good distribution service, so we hadn't heard about it." He says, "This is the best book on our issue for a long time! It's as momentous as Mason Gaffney's Corruption of Economics."
Batt recommends the book highly.
